Working with us…
incamerastock photographers produce high quality Rights Managed (RM) and Royalty Free (RF) images in all genres including travel, people, studio and concept work.
If you are an established professional stock photographer who wants to reach new markets or territories, place images on new libraries or improve your Alamy Rank, contact us. If you’re a professional photographer who doesn’t currently have any work placed on stock libraries and want to give stock photography a try, we’d be happy to hear from you.
We are currently looking for professional photographers who shoot editorial lifestyle and food photography. We also produce our own CGI and digital composites and are keen to hear from creatives with the skills required to produce this kind of image work for stock.
Why place your images with incamerastock?
At incamerastock we understand the stock industry. We know the types of images that sell editorial and commercially. We edit your work, only taking images that we think are saleable to increase your chances of success. We have built a great collection over the last eight years and, in the case of Alamy, we have an excellent rank which means we can get your images returned high in the search results, giving them the best possible chance of selling.
What we look for
Stock photography is not art. A beautiful landscape may appeal to you but it’s not necessarily going to sell. This is particularly true when it comes to RM editorial images. Newspapers and magazines want images that illustrate their articles. That means you are more likely to sell a shot of a busy city centre street, a model-released couple arguing, a road sign or a tin of beans cut out on a white background than you are of a gorgeous mountain range at sunset. This is sad but true! At incamerastock we edit our collection to ensure that you get the best possible results from the images you place with us.
Technical specs
Gone are the days when any image could pass Quality Control (QC) on a stock library. These days images need to be of a high technical specification. Images need to be dust-spotted at 100 per cent view, have no chromatic aberration, fringing or noise. They need to be taken on camera with at least 8 megapixels (preferably more) and they must be sharp and in focus. But that’s just the start!
Alamy QC is extremely tough and we adhere to their specifications. For further information on the technical specs used by them and by incamerastock see here: http://www.alamy.com/contributor/help/prepare-images.asp A full checklist on how to prepare images for stock submission will be sent to new contributors.
Apply to join incamerastock
Please note that as we are a small agency, we can only take images from professional photographers or photographers with established stock image portfolios.
incamerastock is a non-exclusive stock agency which means you can place images with us that are already on sale elsewhere with other agencies or libraries.
In the first instance please email us using the contact form and:
- tell us the type of work and subject matter you have
- include a link to your online portfolio
What happens next?
We will take a look at your online portfolio and get back to you within one week of you contacting us. If we think you would be a good fit for incamerastock we will request further details and ask you to submit a small number of test files to us so we can check technical specs. If your files pass the technical requirements, we will request an initial submission of at least 500 images which we will edit from. We look forward to seeing your work!
